The Vietnam-Japan Workshop 2016 on Estuaries, Coasts and Rivers (VJWECR 2016) will be held on 20-21 Sept. 2016 at Thuyloi University – Southern Campus, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The workshop is organized by the Thuyloi University – Southern Campus, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Department of Civil Engineering, Tohoku University, Japan, and sponsored by Society for the promotion of Construction Engineering, Japan. All applicants are now strongly invited to submit their abstracts, papers on the related below topics:
Coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics and morphology change under extreme events
Natural disasters and mitigation measures
Impacts of construction of structures upstream on downstream
Water-related issues in the river delta
Environmental hydraulics in coast, estuary, and river
Water and environmental management in urban areas
Water-related issues assessments and modeling
Climate change impacts and adaptation
Remote sensing and GIS for coastal, estuarine and river engineering
Besides topics listed above, all cross disciplinary studies are also strongly encouraged.
The key dates for this workshop are as below:
- May 15th, 2016 - Submission of title and authors
- August 5th, 2016 - Full paper submission
- September 20th-21st, 2016 - Vietnam-Japan Workshop
